TGSI Supply for SAT Station Upgrades

Locally manufactured. Proven across the NSW rail network. Stock available for immediate supply.

The Safe Accessible Transport (SAT) program is TfNSW's ongoing initiative to upgrade stations across the NSW rail network to full accessibility compliance. Funded through 2028–29, the program is delivering upgrades at stations across metropolitan Sydney, the Central Coast, Hunter, and regional NSW.
TGSI tactile ground surface indicators are a mandatory compliance element on every SAT station upgrade — required under AS/NZS 1428.4 for platform edges, ramps, stairs, and accessible pathways.
Railtact has supplied and installed TGSI tactiles across multiple TfNSW Transport Access Program and SAT station upgrades. We understand the program, the compliance requirements, and the delivery constraints of working in live rail environments.

What the SAT Program Requires for TGSIs

Every SAT station upgrade must meet the following TGSI requirements:

AS/NZS 1428.4 — Design for Access and Mobility

AS/NZS 4586 — Slip Resistance

Product evidence required at ITP stage:

Railtact supplies all compliance documentation with every order — ready for your ITP and quality system requirements from day one.

Why Contractors Choose Railtact for SAT Works?

We hold local stock. No import lead times, no 8–12 week waits. Material can be on site within days of order confirmation.

CSIRO test certificates, AS/NZS 1428.4 compliance docs, and technical datasheets supplied with every order. Your ITP requirements are covered from day one.

Our installation team holds valid Rail Industry Worker (RIW) cards and has worked across multiple live TfNSW station environments — managing possession windows, out-of-hours access, and TfNSW site safety requirements.

Our 12-drill rig is designed specifically for railway platform edge TGSI installation. Multiple simultaneous holes significantly reduces installation time within short possession windows — a material advantage on tight SAT programs.

We work the way that suits your project:

No account managers, no runaround. You deal directly with the people making decisions.
